API (mutation in API gene) NIP (mutation in NIP gene)
Symbiotic Phenotype Brief
Nod+-
Phenotype Detail
T1-3 had numerous small white outgrowths along the root
system following inoculation with Sinorhizobium meliloti. Although the majority (>85%) of these outgrowths were not invaded by rhizobia, arrested infections were always observed in the outer cortex. T1-3 also showed reduced lateral root elongation and shorter root hairs compared with the wild type.
