Phenotype DetailIn the roots of the Jemalong A17 plants transformed with pRNAiMtHMGR1, the expression of MtHMGR1 was reduced on average to 40% of the wild type level. No nodules appeared on the cotransformed transgenic roots expressing pRNAiMtHMGR1, while on the same plant, roots that were not cotransformed with pRNAiMtHMGR1 developed a comparable number of nodules as the controls.
